Mother Nature and Her Jokes

Thursday and Friday in NY the weather was beautiful. It was about 60 degrees and the sun was shining. Mother nature decided to play a trick on New Yorkers just as fast as the sun went down so did the temperature. Mother nature gave us a taste of spring and then ripped it away. Now it is below freezing and, there are snow and ice storms in the forecast. Got to love NY and it's unpredictable weather.

The end

Paper is done and turned in. As usual I couldn't meet the length requirement. I always have problems with this. No matter how much research I do. I did my best I guess that is all I can ask of myself. I will have to wait and see how the grade turns out.

Blogging

I like blogging. I think it is fun. Blogging gives me a chance to let my feelings out without hurting any one's feelings. I do it for this class no one else knows that I do it. I don't think I will do it quite as often, but maybe when I need to get something off my chest. It definitely relaxes me.

Boring night at work turned in to crazy night at work.

Sunday night at work started off really slow and boring. There wasn't a lot of customers, this makes for a slow night. It got really crazy all of a sudden. I was mopping the floor and all of a sudden I heard the other cashier say get the guy in the bathroom, his truck is on fire and he is parked on the diesel island. Not good. Thankfully no one was hurt and the fire was put out. The poor guy had to wait for someone to come and pull his truck off the diesel island for fear the fire would start again. It was scary when it happened but I can laugh about it now because no one was hurt.

New coworker

My store got a new co-worker. She isn't new to the company, but she is new to the store. The problem is she came into the store like she runs the place. Most of the people have worked with the company for longer than she has, but she is coming off like she is the boss. I try to get along with everybody but it makes it really hard, when I have been with the company for 9 years longer than her. She has made a lot of people mad and no one wants to work with her.

Our Annual Charity Drive at Work.

Every year our company has a charity drive. Each store contributes their donations to local charities. A donation is a dollar and the customer gets to put their name on a stocking. My store sold the most out of all the stores combined. This is the 4th year in a row that we have won. I love the competition it is fun not only do we compete against the stores but we make it a competition amongst ourselves in the store. Our store sold $3232.00 worth of stockings.

Snowy New York Weather

I lived in PA or NY most of my life, but I will never get used to this weather. Up here in NY we are getting a decent size snow storm. This snow isn't the white fluffy kind, it is the wet slippery kind. Normally this wouldn't bother me because I drive an SUV with 4 wheel drive, but my 4 wheel drive doesn't work. Lucky me I figure by the time I can afford to get it fixed, it won't be snowing any more. Just my luck.
